Hayet SellamiHayet Sellami continued her field research in Beijing in January and from March to June, 2008, conducting interviews with several Taiwanese living in Beijing. From February to March, 2008, she collected secondary materials in Paris, with particular emphasis on research on migration internationally and in China, theoretical studies, theories on transnationalism, identity and nationalism, and methodologies. She also conducted research of secondary sources in various institutions (FMSH, Science-Po's library).

Jean-Philippe Béja, Scientific Director at the CERI, has joined the CEFC on the 1st of May 2008. Katiana Le Mentec was awarded a dissertation fellowship by the Chinag Ching-Kuo Foundation, Taiwan in June 2008. Hebe Lo (Secretary) and Peter Law (Librarian) have left the CEFC and have been replaced by Adeline Ka Yee Chiu and Edmund Wai Cheng (Research Associate) at the beginning of June. Daphné Richet-Cooper, Intern, has left the CEFC last month and has been replaced by Alexandra Pfeiff.
A new Associate Researcher, Marylene Lieber, Associate Researcher at the MAPS (University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland), has joined the CEFC.
