À l’occasion de la venue à Taiwan de Mirose Paia, vice-présidente « Cultures & Sociétés » à l’Université de la Polynésie Française et spécialiste du reo tahiti, le CEFC organise un atelier consacré aux langues, cultures et circulations austronésiennes.
Cet échange fera écho à la participation de Mirose Paia au Tribunal pour les Générations Futures de Kaohsiung (Nuit des Idées 2025), autour du thème de l’insularité et de la question : « Une île peut-elle sauver le monde ? »
L’atelier visera à ouvrir le dialogue avec nos partenaires de l’Academia Sinica et d’autres institutions taiwanaises sur les perspectives de coopération scientifique entre Taiwan et la Polynésie française, notamment dans les domaines des études culturelles, linguistiques et patrimoniales.

With the visit of Mirose Paia, Vice-President for Cultures & Societies at the University of French Polynesia and specialist in reo tahiti, the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China (CEFC) will hold a workshop on Austronesian languages, cultures, and circulations.
This meeting echoes Mirose Paia’s participation in the Tribunal for Future Generations in Kaohsiung (Night of Ideas 2025), dedicated to the theme of insularity and the question: “Can an island save the world?”
The workshop aims to foster dialogue with Academia Sinica and other Taiwanese institutions on potential scientific collaborations between Taiwan and French Polynesia, especially in the fields of cultural, linguistic, and heritage studies.
