Recruitment – Editorial Assistant (Part Time)

The CEFC is a research institute with a regional vocation (mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan), under the supervision of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French National Centre of Scientific Research. The CEFC publishes China Perspectives/Perspectives chinoises, a bilingual interdisciplinary research journal that analyses political, social, economic, and cultural developments in contemporary China (mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan).

The editorial assistant will have the function of participating in the editorial work of the journal. More concretely, the main activities will be:

  • Proofreading and formatting, according to the style sheet specific to the CEFC, of ​​the articles accepted for publication, in the English and French versions.
  • Formatting the bibliographies of articles, in both languages, with translation of referenced titles from one language to the other.

This position is part-time (50%). The person must already have the right to work in Hong Kong.

Expected skills: Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written. Autonomy, precision, organisation, teamwork.
